These things are just annoying!
I was rear-ended recently, and insurance covered the whole thing. I’d report it if I were you.

Good idea, I’ll call and ask. Just worried about how it might affect my insurance.
@Noor
I report if they don’t own up. Respect goes both ways!
@Noor
If you’re not at fault, it shouldn’t hit your premium. In Canada, we don’t pay if it’s not our fault!

True! Does it end up on Carfax though? Thanks for the tip!

Not sure about Carfax! Only had vandalism, never an accident report.
@Bell
Got it. Thanks a lot!
If you’re really bothered, file a report. Next time, don’t move the car before the police get there.

He left. Wasn’t sure if reporting it would be worth it since he’s an older guy. Just got his plate number.
Let it go. My dog’s done worse jumping in and out.
Time for a full-sized Bronco upgrade?
Just brush it off.

I’m a new driver, so should I wait for them?

Nah, it’s not worth chasing. These things happen.
@Dakota
Disagree. They should cover the cost if they caused damage.

Update: Confronted the guy. He denies it and left. My car is barely 3 months old, not sure if it’s worth pushing this further.
@Noor
I’d file a report. Even if the police don’t act, your insurance might be able to go after his.

Do you think they’ll take it seriously here in Toronto? It’s my first time dealing with this.
