First scratch always stings, but the bumper’s there to take these hits. I had a Lime scooter dropped on my door a few weeks in. It drove me nuts at first, so I get it!
Yes, exactly

Especially when it’s not even your fault!
Not worth the effort. Just forget about it.

Haha, maybe I should’ve!
Check if the parking lot has cameras to back you up. But be quick—footage doesn’t last long. Plus, insurance might need this if it’s a hit-and-run.

Didn’t think to call the police, it seemed small. But yeah, it’s bugging me since I take really good care of this car.
@Noor
Is a rear camera worth it too? I only have a dash cam, and it’s not wired to record when parked.
That bumper’s gonna see a lot of wear anyway, so don’t sweat the small stuff.
What’s your deductible? Might be best to install a tow kit and call it a day!

$500, I think. Tow kit sounds good—thanks for the tip!

Replacement costs around $600-700, so it’s probably worth it. My tow kit’s saved my bumper a few times already.
@Jamie
How much did it cost you for the tow kit?
Just got a new Bronco too! Part of me wants the first ding so I can relax. These are rugged cars; little scratches are expected!
If you want a flawless car, avoid public parking. But if you actually drive it, scratches come with the territory. Mine’s got a few ‘battle scars’ too, and it’s still my pride and joy.
Try a hitch step! Won’t help now, but could be useful in the future.

Good idea! I’ll check if I can get one for my model.
Installed a hitch on my Bronco—best decision!

Is this easy to DIY? I’m pretty new to this.

Depends if you have a receiver already. Mine was easy since it came with one.
It happens! Soon you’ll have more scratches from everyday stuff.
