Has anyone else seen this pop up out of nowhere?
On my 2020 model, it indicates that my door is open

And it shows the same when I’m in drive. My '16 works the same way

That’s interesting. I also get a hill assist error that pops up randomly. No door ajar alerts or anything like that. It occurs when I shift to drive and appears again whenever I stop
@Tatum
Ford has a micro switch in a lot of their door locks to check if a door is open. These can fail, and I thought they resolved this issue after around 2017.
If you shift to park, does it switch to a door ajar warning? Are the interior lights on when the message shows? Can you set the factory alarm when parked? Those were my signs that I needed to replace the actuator.
Good luck
@Denim
None of this happens. My truck runs normally apart from these two messages

The 2020 and 2021 models are quite different, so the advice from 2020 may not apply
@Tatum
Try switching to drive and then opening the door. See if that triggers the error

Make sure your foot is on the brake

Of course
@Tatum
Try applying and releasing your parking brake

My '15 does this too when a door is open

I have the same issue. One of your doors is open while you are in drive

I see this on my '19, especially when I’m hooking up a trailer and need to get back in the truck with my door open
This happened to me three times with my 2018 2.7 EB. The transmission was in park and the emergency brake engaged every time. The message disappears when the key is out and the vehicle times out. The dealer said there’s nothing wrong each time. It hasn’t happened during oil changes
You must be in drive, not park

No matter how many times I click ok, it still pops up when I stop
I notice this when I open a door while in drive
When I rented a car, I saw a message like this. I quickly moved the shifter back and forth, and it seemed to resolve it. It’s typically just a sensor issue. Being a bit aggressive with it sometimes does the trick
