It’s awesome I mean, I’m curious what you’re looking for from a Bronco sub. We mostly stay fans of our vehicles. They’re dependable, fun, and capable, and I’m happy to own one. As for Ford, I’ve had two of them, and these are my fifth and sixth Fords. I’ve literally always stuck with Fords.
@Ripley
It’s good to hear I definitely want to hear from people who own it and know their stuff.

I switched from a 4Runner to a Bronco 4 door. I might have chosen another 4Runner, but they were about thirteen years into that generation, plus we live near the beach, so a convertible top was essential.
I love the Bronco. It has less cargo space than the 4Runner, but we manage. I enjoy how the Bronco drives on highways.
@Jules
I test drove a 4Runner as a rental on my way to/from Boston for the NH Off-Roadeo. It felt quite old compared to my Bronco.
My vehicle is a 2022 Outer Banks with the hard top, Sasquatch package, and all the options available for a 2D with a 2.7L engine. I have about 23,000 miles and haven’t had any maintenance problems. Just a few minor recalls. People usually don’t post positive experiences, so online, any vehicle will look worse than it really is.
@Palmer
lol minor recalls I was contacted by the dealer to get a seatbelt extension because someone couldn’t fasten their seatbelt I found it hilarious. There’s no way I’m going in for that. But honestly, I’ve driven it for 16k miles and haven’t encountered any issues.
@Pippin
My dealership sent someone to install the piece at home. That’s the only way I was getting it done.
I love it I just used FORScan to disable all the annoying sounds. FORScan will also show you any issues (like lights) if there are any. It’s a handy tool for about $100.
I had a Fusion Hybrid for over 7 years and beat it up during my 20s, and finally switched to the Bronco after waiting for about 2 years for delivery. That car was fantastic, and I had zero problems while owning it. The Bronco is like a convertible Jeep with twin turbos that drives like a Fusion and is capable of crawling over rocks. That’s pretty cool!
Going from 37mpg to 17 is a bit rough though.
A lot of Ford dealerships have a good supply of Broncos available, which means many of them may allow you to take one for an overnight test drive. My dealer let me take one for 24 hours, and it was totally worth it because I could try my children’s car seat and ride with the top down in various conditions, plus deal with traffic. That definitely convinced me, so I’d suggest asking if you’re unsure.
Why do you want it instead of another brand? What do you plan to use it for?
I was just about to create a post on this. I had gotten over my desire for the Bronco (and Ford’s reliability) but I keep thinking about its looks and capabilities.
If you’re looking for a true off-road SUV, you primarily have two options in this range, Jeep or Bronco. I’ve had Wranglers since the 80s and just switched to a Bronco. I never thought I’d say this, but Ford really nailed it. There’s no comparison to Wranglers. These are not meant to feel like an Escalade or Tahoe; they’re built differently. I would trust mine and take any road trip comfortably. Good luck with your search.
I’ve always owned Hondas; a Civic, a Del Sol, a Fit, and then a Pilot. Now I drive a 2022 Wildtrak with some extra options, and it’s incredible. I live in Alaska, and it’s my daily driver. It’s fun in summer and reliable and capable in winter. As someone else mentioned, there have been a few small recalls, but nothing problematic, and they’ve all been solved under warranty. I just took it over Hatcher Pass, and it was amazing.
I have always owned Honda and Acura vehicles, and my first Ford is great. After a year, I’m very happy with it.
My first car was an Integra. I supercharged it, pushed it to the limits, and moved on through other cars. I had an S2000, a Corvette, and a GT350; they were all exciting.
The Bronco was what I truly needed all along. It’s a different kind of fun compared to speed; I can go off-road and really enjoy it.
Track days and auto-crossing were fun, but crawling is even better. That’s just my take.
This is the first American car I’ve owned. My 2-door base model with SAS wheels is just as fun (if not more) than my old 2-door 90 Integra. This being my first decent car is fantastic.
I’ve had three Fords, and my husband has had a few too. We are fans of Ford. I have a 2017 Focus RS along with my Bronco, and it still runs amazingly to this day with minimal maintenance. I kept it because I love it so much! Broncos are definitely fun, but be ready to drive something close to a truck. My Bronco has the luxe package, and I enjoy all the cool features like the 360 cameras and the 12-inch screen. It can go pretty much anywhere, and I take it to the desert for rock hunting and camping regularly. I have a two-door Badlands with a hardtop and a manual transmission. Sure, it’s loud, but honestly, you eventually get used to it.
If you’re not going off-road very much, it feels pretty standard compared to many SUVs. It has character, is peppy, and performs well. The boost kicks in when the turbos activate. Being able to take off the doors and top is fantastic, and overall, people notice and compliment me (unless they’re diehard Jeep fans).
If you plan to go off-road often, you might face error codes and weak spots just like you would with a Jeep or a lifted Toyota. So far, I’ve gone through three CV axles, four tie rods, and two sets of upper control arms (which isn’t really the Bronco’s fault; it’s more of a design flaw). Now I’m dealing with ABS sensor issues, and my steering rack is starting to fail. All this is expected, given how hard I push my Bronco (1-2 hard trails each week), but even without extreme driving, I wouldn’t expect issues beyond those of a regular vehicle, especially if you’re just driving it on the streets. It feels solid, has features that many vehicles lack, and it’s my all-time favorite car.
I waited 718 days from registration to delivery for my Bronco. I’ve had it for a year now, and I have no regrets about owning or waiting for it. It’s pure joy for me.
I personally don’t think it’s worth the money. Over 60k feels like a standard truck to me, with a cheap interior and inferior tech. There are much better SUVs at that price range of 60-80k.
