Has anyone here driven both the manual Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco? Which one did you like better just based on the driving experience? I’m trying to decide.
I’ve driven both the 2-door Jeep and Ford. I own the Bronco. The Jeep’s transmission felt very light with little feedback, not very ‘sporty’. The Bronco’s manual has been great, I much prefer it over the Jeep. Definitely try both, but for me, the Bronco wins.
You should definitely drive both yourself, no matter what anyone else says.

Agreed.
The Bronco isn’t a sports car, but its manual is really solid. The crawler gear is great for stop-and-go traffic. I’ve only driven an older Wrangler with manual, and it felt sloppy and disconnected.
I went from an STI to a 4-door Bronco with manual transmission. It’s one of the most fun gearboxes I’ve used. I also owned a Jeep Wrangler and didn’t like its transmission at all. Bronco all the way.
I haven’t driven the Wrangler, but I got the Bronco with a manual. The stock Ford shifter wasn’t great, so I swapped it for a B&M shifter, and now it’s much better—smooth and crisp shifts.

Does swapping the shifter void the warranty?

Honestly, I’m not sure. If you want to be safe, maybe don’t do the swap. I kept the original parts and could swap it back if I had to take the car in. The swap took me about 5 hours, but I’m not a professional mechanic, so someone more experienced could probably do it faster.
