Thoughts on the 2024 Ford Bronco reliability?

I’m thinking of getting the 2024 Ford Bronco Outer Banks edition (or maybe a higher one). How’s the reliability looking for the 2024 models? This would be my first Ford and I’ve heard some bad stuff about the older models, so any advice or experiences would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

I’ve had my 2024 for five years now, no problems at all so far!

I came here to ask the same question, and you just answered it for me. :joy::joy::joy:

Writing from 2034, the Bronco’s reliability has been good, but gas is hard to come by after the meteor hit in 2029. I’ve joined a gang that dresses like we’re at a Kiss concert, and we still manage 18mpg while raiding towns. Heated seats are a life-saver with the crazy weather swings.

But my lane assist stopped working three weeks after I bought it.

In 2031, I found an extra hardtop and turned it into a turret. Great for defense against bandits.

On a serious note, I’m curious how these Broncos will hold up long-term. I expect infotainment systems to break down, but that’s an issue across all brands, not just Ford.

Bro, it’s only April 2024. How are we supposed to have info on the reliability of a 2024 model already?

Not sure about the 2024s, but my 2021 is still going strong after 10 years.

You could probably just check out the reliability videos or posts for the 2022-2023 models since they’re pretty similar to the 2024. I don’t own one, but from my experience with Ford, they’re great until around 120k miles. After that, you’ll likely deal with rust and repairs. Even with that, I’d still say it’s worth being a Ford owner.

Got my first Ford with the 2022 Badlands Sasquatch 4-door soft top. No mechanical issues, but I did take it to the dealer a few months back to fix a squeaky roof. They had it sorted in a day, and now it’s fine!

The 2.7 and 2.3 engines are both great and have been around for about 10 years now. I’ve got the 2.7 myself. Any problems tend to show up early and are covered by warranty. People can find issues with any car brand if they look hard enough, but Ford’s been solid. Most of the complaints you’ve probably heard about are minor things like roof issues, window rattles, or electrical problems, and those get sorted under warranty.

Every brand has its own problems. Even Toyota’s had some big issues recently with axles and ECU failures. Good luck with whatever you decide to go for!

Hard to say, my Bronco’s been great but I agree the middle school snails are a big problem. Hope they fix that door.

I’ve got a 2022 Bronco Badlands 2-door. Just put in my second tank of gas and I’m at 330 miles. No issues so far, except I did have to fill up the tank already. But I guess that’s common with all gas engines.

I have a 2021 Outer Banks. It’s been good overall, but my passenger window rattles at high speeds, and sometimes the AC fan has a mind of its own.

I’d say Ford is a bit better than Toyota right now, especially since Toyota’s off-road lineup is going hybrid, and those engines are still new. Jeep’s V6 engines are solid, but the rest of the vehicle isn’t as reliable.

The 2.7L in the Bronco is common and dependable. They use it in the F150 too, and it lasts well there. The 10-speed auto is in most American trucks and works fine.

There are some issues, but they usually happen under warranty. Even if you need to replace the engine, it’s not super expensive compared to others.

I’m happy with my 2.7. The only vehicle that gave me fewer problems was a Chevy SS (GM made awesome V8s back then).

I think this will hold up in the long run, but it hasn’t been around long enough to say for sure. If you’re planning to keep it a long time, I’d recommend getting the extended warranty just to be safe.

How are we supposed to know? I’ve got a 2023 and I wouldn’t comment on reliability yet either.
