Many people seem to think that driving a Bronco daily is uncomfortable. I hope my experience from my 2024 Badlands with a hardtop and no Squatch package helps clear things up.
I don’t know what everyone is talking about. My two-door with 37-inch tires isn’t too loud at over 80 mph. I needed earplugs in my Jeeps.

I think many new Bronco owners don’t have a lot of experience with vehicles like Jeeps. After a few years, if the top shrinks, putting it on can be a real hassle. When you finally get it on, you have to blast the fan to keep the inside pressure up. Otherwise, you’ll be shouting to talk, especially over 65 mph.
@Fifer
I can’t comment on your experience with a soft top, but your point about Jeeps is valid. The person you’re replying to mentioned they’ve had more than one.
Thanks for sharing the video. For a real-world comparison, my hardtop Black Diamond isn’t as quiet as my Hyundai Genesis, but it’s way quieter than my wife’s Subaru Outback.

Your comment made me remember that my wife’s old Crosstrek was way louder than her current soft top!
This video is really helpful. Thank you!
Is that Dexter Holland?

I had to look that up, lol. This is my first time using the forum’s video feature, and let’s just say the resolution and lighting aren’t great. I’m not blonde at all.
I have this annoying whistle that gets super loud when I go under bridges. That’s the only thing I don’t like about my Bronco.

That’s exactly why I sold mine. I just couldn’t take it anymore. It drove me crazy.
Great video! It matches my experience with our 2022 Hardtop Base model.
I own a 1996 Ford Bronco, and it rides really smoothly.
I think most of the complaints are about soft tops. The hardtop doesn’t sound as loud.

I agree, but I saw someone complain that their hardtop was so loud it might be a dealbreaker. That surprised me. I’m not saying they’re soft, but… maybe I am.
@Tian
It was probably me. My 2024 Wildtrak is around 78 decibels over 72-73 mph. A vacuum is 75 decibels for comparison. I’ve had both soft top and hard top Wranglers, so I know this kind of vehicle. The problem isn’t road noise; it’s wind whistling through the poorly designed connection points of the top sections. Your video sounded more like my old Wrangler and is much quieter than my Bronco.
@Marin
That’s odd. I’d recommend having it checked out at the dealer. I took a Badlands like mine onto the freeway before buying it, thinking it would change my mind. I was pleasantly surprised. I called several people hands-free and asked them about the noise. I ended up buying one shortly after and have no regrets.
@Marin
Sounds like Ford has issues with their weak connection points and gaps again. That’s why I’ll never buy one. They look cool, but they’re cheaply made.

The soft top is about the same unless it’s really windy. I don’t mind it because I just turn up the music, and I can still talk when the road noise isn’t too loud (but that’s not true with the doors and roof off, haha).

The normal noise in the hardtop isn’t bad, but there are spots that whistle over 100 decibels. We tested it.
