In September, I bought a brand new Black Diamond Sasquatch. During a trip to Kentucky, another car hydroplaned, hit me, and pushed me into oncoming traffic. I got hit from behind and knocked off the road. The driver’s side rear window shattered, the front steering is messed up, and there’s major damage to the left rear side. Thankfully, it was still drivable, and I made it home. My insurance had it towed to their repair shop, and the adjuster says it might be totaled because of frame damage. If not, repairs could take months since Ford parts are apparently hard to get. My Bronco only had 4600 miles on it. I feel awful about this whole thing. Luckily, I wasn’t hurt, just shaken up. My Bronco really proved how tough it is and kept me safe.
That’s a tough situation. I’m really glad you weren’t hurt, and it’s great nobody else was badly affected either.

Thanks. I appreciate it.
Your safety is the most important thing. I read yesterday that Bronco sales are down, and some plant workers have been reassigned. Maybe that means parts won’t be as delayed as you’re fearing.
If it’s totaled, you’ll get paid for a new one plus taxes and fees. There shouldn’t be any depreciation since it’s so new.

I really hope you’re right. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
@Storm
I hope everything works out for you. Dealing with insurance and repair shops can be so stressful. Just remind yourself it’ll be okay in the end.
So sorry to hear this! I’m really glad you’re okay.
Glad you’re safe. The Bronco did its job protecting you. Make sure the other driver’s insurance covers a rental car while you wait. If it’s totaled, go grab another one!
The at-fault driver’s insurance should provide you with a rental. Ask for something comparable, like a pickup truck.
Ford parts being on backorder is unfortunately a real issue. Even one delayed part can hold up repairs for months. It’s frustrating that they haven’t sorted this out with their suppliers yet.
Wide tires are terrible in rain and snow. It’s not always ideal to use an off-road vehicle for regular road conditions.

Actually, my Bronco handled wet roads just fine. The accident happened because another car hit me. I’ve never had issues in bad weather until this crash.
