I just installed a new roof rack, it’s looking good so far! Anyone have thoughts or advice on it?
Is it the Hooke Road one? My wife has the same one in Cactus Grey. I find it a bit noisy on the highway, but she loves it. Her Instagram is bernice_the_bronco if you wanna check it out.

Yep, it’s Hooke Road.

I have the same rack. You can reduce the wind noise by adding edge trim to the bottom of the front part. Here’s a link to the edge trim on Amazon:

Yeah, we tried something similar. It cut the noise down by half. Much better now.

So that’s what the extra bag of edging is for! There was nothing about it in the instructions.
Can you still remove the front two roof panels with the rack on? I’ve got the factory rack but was considering this one if it still lets me do that.

According to the description, you can still remove the panels, but I haven’t tried it yet.
Yeah, you can remove both front panels and even the rear one. I’ve had mine for over two years, though I do need to repaint some spots on the front. Other than that, it’s been solid. I use mine to carry snowboards in winter. The noise is pretty bad, but I’ll try the tips here to fix that.
I’m a big fan of this rack. One of the main reasons I switched from the OEM rack was being able to easily remove the front panels. I also added e-track fittings for quick attachment points, and they work great. Adding rubber trim to the wind deflector really cuts down on the wind noise too.
The only downside is that Hooke Road didn’t specify a dynamic weight limit. The OEM rack has a 110lb limit, while the Trailrax has a 300lb limit. I’d guess this one is closer to the upper end, but it would be good to know for sure.
