I took off the factory crash bars because aftermarket tires have a different offset and were rubbing when turning fully. I still have the factory 33" K02s, but I’m planning to go for 35s when these wear out.
I think it’s worth considering. Ford added them for a reason originally. I always found it strange they left them out with Sasquatch unless the bigger tires and lifted height reduced the risk of intrusion. For $150, it sounds like cheap peace of mind. Will these work with 35s?

I’ve always thought they skipped them to avoid designing a separate version for Sasquatch. Probably a cost-saving measure.
Makes sense. I told myself, ‘If Sasquatch models don’t have them, it must meet safety standards.’ But yeah, probably just a cost thing. Not critical, but definitely something to think about.
@Reagan
Exactly. Maybe safety ratings go up with them, but I doubt they’ll ever admit that. They might release high-clearance versions later to avoid looking bad.

Funny, I was just wondering yesterday if something like this existed. Thanks for sharing!
Glad it helped! I came across the Icon ones last week and started looking for deals. These seem solid. I don’t love skimping on safety, but how much difference could there really be between these and the pricier ones?
This thread is super helpful. I removed mine when I installed a new winch bumper because I thought they were just mounts for the stock bumper.
The OEM crash bars looked awkward with the new bumper, so I took them off. After reading this, I’m thinking of buying the ones you mentioned. For now, I’ll dig up the old ones just in case. Thanks for the heads-up!
