Is the Bronco Sport worth it?

I’m thinking of getting the 2024 Bronco Sport as my first car. I know it might not be the most reliable out there, but I need something that’ll last a few years. Any thoughts or issues you’ve had with it? Honest opinions would help a lot!

I’ve got a 2023 Big Bend with the 1.5 engine and 13k miles. I love it more than I thought I would. No issues yet, and I’ve taken it on several road trips. It handles snow like a champ, and I’m averaging over 28 MPG. My only real gripe is the hood bulges—they reflect the sun sometimes, which can be super annoying.

Which trim are you looking at? It’s a solid car overall, though the back seats can feel a bit tight. It’s a good all-rounder for most things.

I’ve got a 2021 model. I’m 6 feet tall and take road trips with my buddies all the time. The legroom is a bit cramped, but the headspace and storage make up for it. I’d say it’s one of the best off-roaders in its class. The only real issue I’ve had was with the electronics, but that was fixed through a recall.

For me, the priority was backseat space since my family is tall. It works well for us, but I’m not laying my front seat all the way back. I’m 5’6” and can still leave decent room for the person behind me.

I’ve had my Badlands for 2 years and put 55k miles on it—no issues so far. I even towed a camper from Florida to Michigan. I also owned a First Edition briefly, and it saved my life in a major collision. Would I buy one again? Absolutely!

I originally felt like I “settled” on my 2024 Big Bend, but now I love it. It’s handled hauling 1,500 pounds, averaged 30 MPG, and is great for road trips. My only gripes are that the plastic rattles when it’s hot, and the windshield tends to crack easily. If you can, get insurance with zero-deductible glass coverage—it’s been a lifesaver for me.

It’s hard to say how reliable it’ll be long-term since most aren’t over 100k miles yet. That said, I’ve had no major issues. The windshield is prone to cracking, and the interior feels a bit cramped, especially if you need more than one car seat. But it’s a fun car for trails and everyday driving.

You can fit two car seats as long as the driver isn’t super tall.

We manage just fine with a front-facing and a rear-facing car seat. There’s still space for a stroller and bags in the back, too. It’s not huge, but it works well for our family.

I’m not super tall, but I’d never put a rear-facing seat behind me. There’s just no room.

I’m 5’4” and manage with a booster seat behind me. A rear-facing seat might be a tight squeeze, though.

I have the 2024 Heritage Edition and absolutely love it. Just took it on a trip to Dallas, and it handled great.

I’ve got a 2021 Badlands with 60k miles. It’s only been in the shop once for a minor computer issue that was covered under warranty. Overall, it’s been solid.

The engine choice matters—Badlands with the 4-cylinder is more reliable than the base 3-cylinder. If you’re buying new, reliability won’t be a huge concern for the first few years while it’s under warranty.

No major complaints. I love the headroom since I’m tall, and the trunk holds a lot. The heated seats and steering wheel are a nice bonus, and I use the remote start all the time.

I have a 2024 Big Bend with the convenience package and adaptive cruise control. It’s been great so far—no issues.

I’ve had my 2022 Big Bend for 14 months, and it’s been perfect for my needs. It’s reliable, versatile, and fun to drive.

I’ve had my Badlands for about a month, and I’m loving it so far. It’s spacious in the front, handles great, and has plenty of room for gear in the trunk.

I just bought a 2024 Big Bend two weeks ago. It’s my first new car, and I’m really happy with it so far. It’s comfortable, practical, and has a ton of great features for the price.
