About a year and a half ago, my wife and I ordered a Bronco Black Diamond, 4-door, 4-cylinder manual. MSRP was around $49k, and the total cost, including taxes, was supposed to be around $56k. After a few months, we got the call that the car had arrived.
When we sat down with the dealer, they showed us a price of $68k with a 25% APR. Both my wife and I had 750 credit scores at the time, so we were shocked. We decided to walk away from the deal. Looking back, it seems like we avoided a bad financial decision, and I’ve also seen some people having issues with the Bronco. Thoughts?

That’s shady business from the dealer. I wouldn’t go back there.
It was actually a major Ford dealership in my area.
Same here. I went to test drive a Bronco at a Ford dealership in 2021. Their ads showed a fair price, but during the test drive, the salesman casually mentioned the actual price was 50% higher than what was on the ad and the sticker. I turned the car around, parked it, and left without another word.
Let me get this straight. You didn’t buy a Bronco and came here to say you’re glad because ‘people have problems with them’? What’s the point of this post?

And you’re talking about a 25% APR with a supposed 750 credit score? Sounds sketchy.

My wife ordered her Bronco the first day orders opened. It was a 2022 Outer Banks Sasquatch. It took two years to arrive, but the dealership didn’t mark it up at all. We paid exactly what we were quoted.
Shoutout to Gullo Ford in Conroe, Texas. We’ve bought multiple cars from them and have never had any issues.
