There are some growing pains with build quality issues, but since I work in sales at a Ford dealership, if I took my mechanic’s advice on what to buy, it would probably be a 15-year-old Tacoma.
I really enjoy the Bronco and know there will be some issues now and then. It’s just a lot of fun.
The Bronco isn’t meant for folks who just like its appearance. It was built with off-roading in mind and does that job very well. If you just like the way it looks, you might be disappointed. But if you want a vehicle to tackle trails, then it’s perfect.
I’m a big Toyota fan, I have two Yaris cars, a Tundra, and a Bronco. I might not keep my Bronco because I feel it has some durability limits compared to my other vehicles.
It’s a trade-off, the Bronco is more fun, but it’s not the best daily driver or a car you want to drive a lot.
I am thinking of selling mine to buy and modify a GX460, but I’m still undecided.
I moved from a ND Miata to a mk7.5 GTI to my Bronco in about a seven month span.
I have the base with an 8-inch screen and I keep it on CarPlay 99% of the time. I don’t care what Sync 4 looks like as long as it works. Build quality is fairly good, I’ve noticed some odd panel gaps and squeaks, but my 2013 FRS had worse sounds, so I can’t complain. If you like to modify your vehicles, you’ll love the Bronco; you can customize it in so many ways.
My only issue is with the soft and hard tops. I’d rather have a fixed roof to reduce noise.
I have a Bronco on order and I feel it’s way too expensive for what it is. A friend of mine has owned an FJ Cruiser for a decade and he thought it was overpriced when he first bought it too. But ten years later, he still loves it and gets lots of compliments. He has no regrets and the vehicle is fully paid off.
My dad bought a 2004 Terminator Cobra new in 2004. It seemed too expensive back then. Spending 38k on a Mustang felt like too much.
In the end, they are specialty vehicles and even if they feel pricey, many buyers don’t end up regretting the investment.
I absolutely love my Big Bend! I’ve only taken it off-road a few times, but it’s become my daily driver over my 22 Lariat. I get a lot of looks in it. I even get waves from Jeep owners. But like others have said, it all depends on what you’re looking for.
It’s all about personal choice, just like with everything. I’ve loved Broncos since I was a kid. My first love was the 73 model, and we still have an 88 model. The 90s version was just a tough looking vehicle that I still adore. I had to get one for myself. Just go with your feelings because you’ll be the one driving it.
I love my Wildtrak. There’s nothing I’d change. I waited 18 months for it.
I paid MSRP, so I don’t feel I overpaid. It would be different if I had paid like 20k over, but that’s not my case. Even then, I’m not sure I’d feel unhappy.
I’ve had it since January 22, after ordering it on day one in July 2020. So far, no major issues, knock on wood. I do hear a popping sound from the hard top when it’s cold, but I have a fix for that I just haven’t done yet. That’s my only complaint.
Ford hasn’t let me down, and I’m happy with my swag. I loved the calendar they sent.
