I finally finished removing the backseats in my Bronco and set up the space with some carpet. Loving the extra room now
You can’t sit back there, but you’re welcome to ride up front
Looks great! What kind of carpet did you use? I built a storage box to level the floor in my 4-door, but I’m not happy with the material I used.

It’s just a roll of carpet from Amazon. I’ll check the brand when I’m home and let you know.

Leveling the floor is a smart move! I’ve been wondering what to do with my 2-door to get more space.
@Torin
The bolts sticking up after removing the seats are a pain. I used 3/4-inch plywood to cover them. Didn’t even need to bolt the floor down.
That setup looks so clean! I want to do this for my 2-door.

It’s not hard if you’re handy. I spent less than $250 and even bought extra carpet for other projects.
This looks amazing. Do you have any pictures of the process?

Sadly, no. I started with 3/4-inch plywood, wrapped it in carpet, and used an air stapler and contact glue. Got the stainless steel hinge from Menards and the runners from a scrap yard.
This is awesome! Has anyone ever tried adding a bench seat to the back of a 2-door?

Not sure. I was only focused on getting more floor space.
What did you do with the seatbelt buckles? Did you tuck them under the carpet or remove them completely?

For now, they’re secured to the rollbar. I plan to remove them completely later.
How did you get around the rear seatbelt warning?

I didn’t have to. The seatbelts are still connected and just tucked under the carpet.

Without the pressure sensors connected, wouldn’t it trigger a warning on the dash?
@Sage
Nope, no warnings. Everything is still hooked up—it’s just hidden under the carpet.
That’s a clean setup, well done!
