My 2022 Bronco won’t start and I’m not sure what’s going on. Has anyone else run into this? I’m wondering if it’s just a battery issue or something else. Any help would be appreciated!
Sounds like you need a new battery.
A lot of 2021-22 models have had early battery issues. Check the resting voltage, it should be around 12.6v.
If the red battery light is on (top left), it’s either a new battery or you might need to tighten the connections.
My 2021 Badlands did the same. One day it struggled to start, then nothing the next day. Replaced the battery myself after AutoZone said it was bad, and no problems since.
Are you making sure your foot is on the brake when you try to start it? This can happen if you don’t press the brake.
Could be the battery or maybe the alternator.
Dead battery, most likely.
Definitely a battery issue. Sometimes you’ll see traction or powertrain errors before it fully dies. Jump it, but it might not stay running long.
Your battery is probably done for. Go for an AGM battery, it’s worth it.
100% the battery. Same thing happened with mine.
Hey there! I’m new to this forum. It sounds like you might just need a new battery. Did you press the start button without stepping on the brake? If so, that puts it in accessory mode.
When I go to the drive-in theater, I get the same message in accessory mode. It doesn’t always mean the battery is bad though.
Try turning the start button off, then step on the brake and push the button again. If the dash screen lights up, the battery’s not dead.

That’s not exactly right. It can have enough power for the electronics but not enough to start the engine.

I just replaced my battery. Dash and screen powered up, but it wouldn’t start.

Yeah, I’ve been doing that
