I’ve had both the Outer Banks and the Badlands. The Badlands gave me more trouble. If you want a smooth, comfy ride, go with the Outer Banks.

That’s interesting. Was it a common issue, or do you think you just got unlucky?

It was a transmission issue. Took a while to get the right part, but my Outer Banks never had a single problem.

That’s something to think about. I’ll test drive both and see how they feel. Thanks for the info!
If you can pick any model, go with the Badlands. It has the bigger engine, which will hold up better long-term.

Congrats! I have a Big Bend, but I’d recommend going for one of the higher trims if you have the option.

Thanks! I think I’m down to Outer Banks or Badlands now.
Badlands or nothing. The 2.0L is a better engine, and your old Toyota will probably last longer than the 3-cylinder ones.

Every time I think I’m going with Outer Banks, I read something like this and reconsider. Gonna test drive both tomorrow!
