We’ve been trying to find a good deal on a 2024 Bronco. After two months, we found one about 30 minutes away. The problem? The back glass was shattered during delivery. They said it wasn’t ready to drive and had us test another similar one since we already knew what we wanted.
We sat down to talk numbers, and their offer was insulting compared to other dealerships we’d visited. The sales manager kept trying to push us toward another vehicle. We decided to walk out, but they made us wait to get our keys back. When we finally got our car (our trade-in), it was stuck behind other cars in the back lot.
Later, they called, saying they’d make it work if we came back the same day. I was skeptical but agreed. We traded in our car, paid the down payment, got insurance, and now our first payment is due—yet we still don’t have the Bronco. I even asked if they could swap the hard top from one of the many Broncos on their lot, but they claimed they couldn’t because of “calibration” (sounds like nonsense to me).
They promised an ETA for Monday, but now they’re ignoring my messages, even when I sent proof of the insurance we’re paying for. What should I do? This whole process has been a disaster. I’ve only got so many car purchases in my life, and this one feels like a total nightmare.
You should call out the dealership by name. This is terrible. Maybe contact Ford directly. Some pressure from higher up might help. Trying to appeal to their kindness won’t work—people can be awful. If I were you, I’d raise hell. Call the general manager and reach out to Ford’s main office.

This sucks. Did they give you any idea when the back glass would be fixed?
They didn’t. The dealership promised an ETA for Monday, but I haven’t heard anything. They’re also ignoring my messages about the insurance I had to get. Should I just go straight to Ford HQ?
If you’re part of any Bronco owner forums, try tagging Ford reps—they might be able to help. It sounds like the dealership isn’t doing their job. At the very least, demand a loaner until your Bronco is ready.

You mentioned the dealership was 30 minutes away like it’s far. Is that really such a big deal?
Haha, no, it’s not far at all. I only said it like that because there’s a Ford dealership just a few steps from my house, but the one near me didn’t have the features we wanted.
The back glass might be on backorder, and they can’t just swap tops because the build sheet specifies which top comes with the car. I’d contact Ford to explain your situation. You might also want to notify your financing company about not having the car yet—they might be able to help you out.
