I have a Bronco Sport, but I’ve been thinking about trading it for a regular Bronco. I’d like the extra space for camping trips, but my biggest issue with the Sport is how much it relies on my phone. Does the regular Bronco have the same problem?
What do you mean by that?

I get lost easily, so I rely on GPS a lot. The problem is my phone keeps cutting out, and I end up fumbling with it while driving. Plus, my music constantly glitches with CarPlay, and the app for my car barely works. It would be so much easier to just remote start with my keys.
@Kendall
The systems are pretty much the same. The regular Bronco has a bigger screen and wireless options, but it’s not a huge difference.

For me, CarPlay has been fine on my Bronco. The only issue I’ve had is with Spotify sometimes—it just goes silent, and I have to disconnect and reconnect.
@Kendall
I have the 2024 Big Bend, and the Apple CarPlay is super laggy for me.
I totally get you. I have the base model interior, and I actually prefer it because I don’t rely on CarPlay. Half the time, it doesn’t even work properly anyway.
When I’m driving on the road, I use CarPlay for maps and Spotify together. You can split the screen and adjust the navigation volume separately from your music.
If I’m exploring off-road, I switch to Ford’s built-in navigation. It’s great for saving spots and tracking where you’ve been. If you’re always losing your way and fiddling with your phone, why not set the destination and let the system do its thing? A small glitch in your music is better than getting lost.
@Harlan
I think you misunderstood. Those were two separate issues. When I’m using GPS, the map cuts out, and I have to mess with my phone to fix it. When I’m not using GPS, my music still glitches, and it’s just annoying to deal with all the time.
I traded my 2021 Sport for a 2024 2-door Bronco last August, and I love it. The only thing I miss is the better gas mileage from the Sport.

Same here! Totally worth it though.
I’ve got both a Sport and an Everglades. Both have GPS, and I’ve never bothered with Apple CarPlay. I pay for the GPS feature because I hate using my phone while driving.
Our 2-door Bronco doesn’t have much cargo space. The back legroom is better than the 4-door, but with the seats up, it’s about the size of a sedan trunk. We recently did a Costco run for Christmas supplies and filled up the cargo area with the seats down.
Our old car was a Mini Clubman, and we fit way more in there—like an Eames chair and luggage for road trips with two dogs.
Bluetooth is hit or miss, too. About 30% of the time, it doesn’t connect right. And the fuel mileage with the Sasquatch package? Let’s just say you’ll notice it dropping fast.
That said, the 2.7L engine in Sport mode with RWD? It’s an absolute blast to drive, especially around corners or over curbs.
