Hey everyone,
For those who own the 6th-gen, is upgrading to leather seats really worth the cost? Can you actually feel the difference? I’d hate to end up with cheap vinyl.

I’ve tried cloth, leather, and now the marine-grade vinyl in my Bronco. Honestly, I’m loving the vinyl! It doesn’t feel cheap at all, and I’d pick it over leather any day. Just my opinion.

Same here! I’ve got the 23 WT with the marine-grade vinyl. It looks great, feels comfy, and holds up really well.
@Mackenzie
I agree, the vinyl is solid. No complaints here.
Marine-grade vinyl is amazing. If you’re using it as a fun off-roader, go for the vinyl—it’s easy to clean and maintain. If it’s just for daily city driving, then maybe leather makes more sense.

Totally agree. I had a Chevy with black leather and used it for fishing and camping. Keeping it clean was a nightmare.

Or if you’re like me and leave the top down for four days straight because there’s only a 10% chance of rain.
I’ve had cloth, leather, alcantara, and marine-grade vinyl. Personally, the vinyl feels more comfortable than leather and holds up better. Just make sure to get seat warmers if you’re in a cold area.
The marine vinyl is fantastic. It doesn’t feel cheap at all and matches the vehicle’s vibe perfectly. We specifically wanted it, and it turned out even better than expected.
I went with leather because it came with carpet, and I worried about noise inside (I’m used to a quieter car). A friend has the vinyl, and I honestly prefer the look and feel of it. Still happy with my leather choice since it’s quieter, but the quality isn’t the best I’ve had in a car.
I’ve had leather cars for 20 years but went with marine-grade vinyl in my Badlands+lux package. Leather and carpet don’t make sense for off-road use. The vinyl feels just as nice as leather to me, and since most leather has coatings anyway, the difference isn’t huge. Plus, I like how the vinyl suits the open-air, washable interior design.
I skipped leather because of the cost, but I didn’t realize it also came with power seats and a rear armrest with cup holders. By the time my order came in, those features were standard on the Wildtrak, but mine doesn’t have leather. Kinda regret it now.
I wanted leather for my Wildtrak, but the one I bought had cloth seats. They’re actually really durable, so I’m not too upset. When my kid gets older, I might swap to Katzkin leather.
Honestly, the power seat option alone makes leather worth considering.
The vinyl is fantastic! It’s UV-stable, doesn’t stain, looks great, and is super low-maintenance. I do prefer leather for the steering wheel, though.
I’ve got vinyl in my ‘22, and I’m mostly happy with it. The only issue is a bit of cracking at the side bolster where it creases.
I’ve always had leather but went with cloth this time, and it’s been great. The seat materials on Broncos are pretty solid. If you want leather later, Katzkin does custom interiors for $1,000-$2,000.
