I’ve always been into Japanese cars—Honda and Mazda are my usual go-tos. But the Ford Bronco caught my eye recently. I’m considering it, but I’ve heard mixed reviews about American cars. What’s your take on the Bronco? Is it reliable enough for both daily use and occasional off-roading? I don’t want to deal with constant repairs or weird issues popping up. Let me know what you think!
If you’re after an SUV that’s built to handle rough terrain and fun trips but isn’t about luxury, the Bronco fits. It’s rugged and a bit noisy (I’ve got a 2023 4-door Wildtrak). The suspension is softer compared to some other SUVs, so it takes getting used to. Sound system? Meh. It’s okay, but keep in mind, no door speakers since the doors come off. The swing gate can be annoying if someone parks close behind you. But… the heated seats are amazing, and the tech like the 12-inch touchscreen is solid. Not the most comfortable SUV, but it’s fantastic for off-roading.

Wireless CarPlay is underrated for sure. Love that feature.

Same here! No one I know has it, and they’re all jealous, lol.

It’s great when it works, but I have issues with it daily. Frustrating sometimes.
The Bronco isn’t a luxury vehicle; it’s an off-road beast. If you’re coming from a crossover, it’ll feel louder and rougher. Definitely take it for a highway test drive to see if you’re okay with the noise. I’ve got nearly 60k miles on mine and still love it.
@Orin
The problem is it’s priced like a luxury SUV. You’re paying 70k and still dealing with ‘it’s a truck’ issues.

Ford never marketed it as luxury though. They say ‘Built Wild’ and ‘Raised by Goats,’ not ‘luxury SUV.’ Big Bend starts at $40k, so you’re paying for the off-road capability, not luxury.
@Orin
Still, at 70k, I expect more comfort and refinement.

It’s not about price; it’s about purpose. You’re buying a truck that can do off-road magic, not a luxury sedan. Don’t confuse the two.
@Orin
That argument just reinforces my point. At 70k, I expect more versatility.

You’re expecting steak from a sandwich shop. This is an off-road-focused truck, not a comfort-focused luxury ride.

Luxury isn’t just about price, bro. It’s about purpose. If you don’t need off-road, don’t buy it.
@Orin
You can’t really compare an F250 to a Bronco. One’s a work truck, and the other’s a lifestyle SUV.
@Orin
Our Big Bend Sasquatch rides better than my Silverado. It’s not rough at all.

Depends on tires. I run 35” Toyos, and it’s louder. Coming from a crossover, some people find it rough.
@Orin
True. We had a Grand Cherokee before, and while I miss its comfort, the Bronco is way more fun.
I’ve owned Fords my whole life, including two Broncos. They’re fun, reliable, and great for adventure. Just know what you’re getting into—it’s more of a truck than an SUV.

That’s good to hear! I like hearing from folks who actually own one.
@Joss
I switched from a 4Runner to a Bronco for the convertible top. Less space, but so worth it for the fun factor.
