How are your 6th gen Broncos holding up after a few years

I’ve been really into the 6th gen Broncos since they launched. I’ve mainly driven Japanese cars because they’re so reliable, but the Bronco has been calling my name.

For those of you who own one, how’s it going? Any big issues? How many miles have you driven? Would you say the build quality is solid?

I got mine as part of the first-year reservations. It’s a two-door Badlands Sasquatch with the 2.7L and hardtop. I had to wait about a year and a half because of the specific build I wanted. Ford kept trying to get me to change my order to get it faster, but I stuck with what I wanted.

It’s been super reliable so far. It’s my wife’s daily driver and has about 55k miles on it now. We’ve also taken it through the Rubicon Trail a few times—it handles it great. The build quality is what you’d expect from a modern $50k vehicle. The hardtop has some wind noise, but that’s normal for a removable top. Overall, we love it!

@Shannon
How did it handle the Rubicon? I’m thinking about trying it myself soon.

It did great! Having 37-inch tires helped for sure. As long as you take your time and drive smart, it shouldn’t be a problem. I live close to the Rubicon, so I’ve driven it with a bunch of different rigs over the years. The Bronco was a treat—just air down, drive through, air back up, and head home.

@Shannon
That’s awesome to hear. I think I’m ready to plan my trip!

@Shannon
I’ve got the same build and waited about as long. Did you need to change any suspension parts to fit the 37s? Any issues off-roading with those tires?

I upgraded to Radflo coilovers and added a 74 Weld steering kit along with RCV axles. Also, my Bronco was used as the test vehicle for Metalcloak’s two-door parts, so I’ve got their full skid plate system and rock sliders. Fun fact: the product pictures on their site are actually of my Bronco!

@Shannon
That’s so cool. Sounds like a solid setup!

I’ve had my 2023 Base Bronco for 2.5 years now, with 34k miles on it. It’s been great overall. The only issue I’ve had was a cracked windshield from a rock on the highway. I use it as a daily driver, and it’s handled snow and sleet without problems.

I’m really happy with it so far. The only annoyance has been occasional glitches with CarPlay, but I’d still rate it 9/10.

@Thorn
Yep, rocks on the highway can be the worst.

I have two Broncos—a 2023 Badlands Sasquatch and a 2022 Big Bend for my wife. Both have been excellent so far. They’re capable vehicles, and I think they’ll hold up well over time.

I’ve got a 2022 Base two-door with the 2.7L and 60k miles on it. It’s easily my favorite vehicle out of the 14 I’ve owned. It even beats out my old ‘90 Integra!

Only issue I’ve had is the floppy window problem, but the relearn sequence fixed it. I did get a recall notice recently, but it came through Carfax instead of the Ford app.

If it’s the shock absorber recall, it’s on FordPass. I didn’t get a notification either, but it’s listed there. Hopefully, it’s not a major issue since I’ve got a few long trips planned this year.

I don’t think I’ve had the floppy issue, but my right window has been rattling over bumps. I tried adjusting it myself, but it’s still annoying, especially in the winter.

I’m in the same boat as the original poster. I’m curious how the new 2025 models are holding up now that we’re a few years in. Also, anyone else looking at the new 4Runner? I’m debating between that and the Bronco. If the 4Runner feels too clunky, I’ll probably go with the Bronco since I loved how it drove when I tested it.

@Ben
I’ve definitely been considering the new 4Runner, but the Bronco’s design is just so classic. Hard to say no to it.

Totally agree. Just look at the old Bronco posters—it’s the kind of car you’d want on your wall.
