Looks like Ford is recalling around 150k Broncos from 2021–2024 because the rear suspension parts might fall off. The issue is with the remote-reservoir rear dampers, which can corrode and eventually detach. They say newer models switched to a different design, but for those of us with the older ones, there’s no fix yet. Ford is still working on a solution. Anyone else get the recall notice?
Dang, I’ve got a 2022 Sasquatch… should I be worried?

If you have the long-flange dampers, yeah, you might be affected. They say about 30% of the recalled models could have this issue.

I think you’ll be fine for now, but keep an eye out for any weird noises or a rougher ride.
Ford doesn’t have a fix yet? That’s kind of concerning…

Yeah, they’re still working on it. Apparently, they switched to short-flange dampers on newer models, but for the older ones, no solution yet.

Typical Ford move… drop a recall and then tell everyone to wait. Hopefully, they come up with something soon.
What’s the actual issue? Like, what happens if this part fails?

Apparently, the dampers corrode over time, which can lead to them coming loose or fully detaching. If that happens, you might notice a bouncy ride or hear some weird noises before it breaks off completely.
Ford is sending out recall notices, but does that mean we should stop driving them until they figure this out?

They haven’t told people to park them yet, so I guess it’s not an immediate danger? But if you start noticing issues, I’d probably avoid driving it too much.
Glad I got a 2024 with the new dampers. Feel bad for those dealing with this mess.
