I get that driving a boxy convertible is never going to be super quiet, but has anyone found ways to make it a little better?

Just crank up the music.

Exactly! Drown it out with some tunes.
Eventually just gave up and lost some hearing!
I didn’t do anything because my hard top doesn’t seem that loud.

I have the hard top too, and while I like it, it’s funny because one reviewer compared it to a Yugo at 60mph. The Bronco was only slightly quieter. Still, I knew what I was getting into and don’t regret buying it.

Coming from a soft-top Wrangler, my hard top Bronco is way louder. It’s shocking how they managed that.

Yeah, the Bronco is bigger and less aerodynamic than a Wrangler, so it makes sense it’s louder. Still, it’s surprising how noticeable it is.
Swapping out the stock Goodyears made a difference for me. I put on BFG KO3s, which are chunkier but surprisingly quieter.

I think the math is something like a 10dB drop cuts the sound in half, so even a few decibels quieter can make a big difference.
@Larkin
Good point. It definitely feels like a big improvement.
If quiet is a priority, maybe consider a car instead of an off-road convertible.
Are you using a hard top or soft top?

I’m looking at getting a hard top with 32" tires. I test drove one and was hoping there’s a way to quiet it down.

It’s funny you’re already looking at the quietest version and still noticing the noise. We have a Badlands with Sasquatch and the so-called sound-deadened hardtop. On our first interstate trip, I laughed at how loud it was. That said, I love the Bronco for what it is—a fun, boxy toy. If you go in expecting that, you’ll enjoy it. For long drives, earbuds are our go-to solution.

My 23 MIC top isn’t bad most of the time. Occasionally, I hear a whistle if the wind is bad or the top isn’t seated perfectly, but it’s manageable. I usually have my stereo at around 13 on the freeway.
