Just got my car and noticed this button. What does it actually do? Asking for advice from the community.

It keeps the car stopped even if you take your foot off the brake. Really useful for stoplights or heavy traffic.
I call it the lazy pedal. Super helpful when pulling out onto a busy road.
@Rey
Perfect for school drop-offs or late-night drive-thru runs.

I use it for this long light I have to stop at every day. Such a lifesaver.
Great for stop-and-go traffic or sitting in a long drive-thru line.

I mostly use it when grabbing coffee. It’s handy but situational for me.

Same here. I like how you just tap the gas to move again. Makes traffic much easier.

Be careful though—if you tap the gas too early, it might cause a fender bender.

Did you mix up your pedals? Sounds like something I’d accidentally do!
Don’t use it in a car wash.

I forgot once, and it scared me when the car wouldn’t move properly. Lesson learned!

Same here! Thought my car was breaking down.

Wait, what actually happens if you leave it on in the car wash?

Good tip, I wouldn’t have thought of this.

I avoid automatic car washes altogether. They’re not great for your car.
I like to call it my drive-thru button.
Taco Bell button, because that’s when I use it most.

Too bad it doesn’t stop the after-effects of Taco Bell… if you know what I mean.
Does anyone know how to keep the auto start/stop feature permanently off?

Switching to Sport Mode turns it off automatically.
