Anyone else had issues with tire balancing at 35k miles?

The original poster is having issues with their tire balance and rotation at 35k miles. Despite the professional work, they’re still facing problems. Let’s see what others have experienced and how they handled it.

The team worked like a pit crew on that thing!

Had the same issue with my car years ago. Took it to the dealer and asked for their senior mechanic to handle it. Finally worked. Total headache. Hope it works out for you.

Yeah, I get that. My husband’s a senior master tech, and even he won’t let anyone else mount or balance tires for him. It’s all about the details when it comes to doing the job right.

What’s going on with your tires? They still vibrating after rebalancing?

Nah, probably just getting the tires rotated every 5,000 miles. I do it the same way (not with a Bronco though). The tire shop I go to offers free balancing and rotations with oil changes, but the oil changes are a bit more expensive to cover that. My BFG KO2 tires need balancing all the time!

Not sure I’d want to see them jack it up from the shock mount.

That’s actually the rear lower link mount.

Oh, you’re right. Still, not sure I’d be comfortable with that!

@Dallas
The differential is a decent spot, but it’s off-center, so the wheel will drop during articulation. Still, it works for me. The bigger surprise here is getting 35k miles out of those cheap SAS tires.

@Yani
I actually got 40k miles out of my base tires.

Their lift works well for cars, but not for trucks with lifts.

I’d love to watch them jack it up.

@West
When you know the job, equipment, and experience, the results always exceed expectations.

Why not just take it to the Ford dealer?

I bought a tire warranty from Discount Tire (covers balance and rotation) for less than what the dealer charges. So now I take my car to the dealer for oil changes and inspections, while Discount Tire handles tire services.

Not sure if you’re proud of this or just frustrated.
