We got a '23 Big Bend last year, and while we love it overall, two problems are driving us nuts. The screen randomly shuts off or won’t start, and the dealer says Ford is working on a fix but won’t replace it yet. The second issue is the windows rattle a lot when they’re halfway down—sounds like they’re slapping around. We didn’t notice during our winter test drive, but it’s frustrating that a 2023 car has these problems. How is Ford just telling us to wait for a fix? Any tips would be really appreciated. We love the car otherwise but just want it fully functional.
I’d try another dealer for the screen issue, but this video might help with the window rattle: https://youtu.be/y5Qd7AiKKzE?si=FOBb1GYKWq2yRDre.

Thanks for sharing this! I’ll try it tonight. Seems like the community has better solutions than the dealers.
@Broderick
Good luck with it!

Thanks! Didn’t even know there was a way to fix this.
I’ve got the same window rattle, and the service guy told me they’ll fix it in Q3 next year. A year from now? Seriously?

You can tighten the window yourself. Open the door, pop off the rubber grommets on the bottom, and adjust the two standoffs with a 10mm. Also, I avoid leaving the window halfway—it’s either cracked a bit, fully down, or all the way up. That helps with the frameless windows.

Exactly! And I bet they still won’t have a solution by next year.
One time, my odometer and screen went completely black while I was driving. Had no clue how fast I was going. Disconnecting the battery fixed it, but it did trigger a check engine light. Hasn’t happened since, though.
@Wylder
Yeah, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery seems to fix a lot of weird issues on these.

This is the most computerized vehicle I’ve ever owned. It’s been an adjustment for sure.

Next time, hold the right seek button and the radio power button for 10 seconds. It’ll do a hard restart and should fix it temporarily. Used to work at Ford, and that’s one trick we’d use.
Ford is having major issues with their infotainment systems right now. My boyfriend’s 2023 Explorer has constant Bluetooth and freezing problems. My dad’s 2025 Explorer is back at the dealer with the same issues. My brother’s 2024 Maverick’s backup camera freezes, and now there’s a stop sale on it. My 2024 Bronco has only glitched once so far, though. For now, hold the right seek button and the radio off button for about 6–10 seconds. That does a hard restart and usually fixes it temporarily.
